Police has declared a reward of Shs 20 million for individuals providing information leading to the apprehension of the assailants and the recovery of the firearm used in the shootings of vlogger Isma Olaxes and Pastor Aloysius Bugingo’s bodyguard, Corporal Richard Muhumuza.
Olaxes was fatally shot on May 6, 2023, in Kyanja, while Muhumuza was killed last week on Buwalakata road, Namungoona, Lubaga Division. Bugingo, who claims to have sustained gunshot wounds, was in the car during the attack.
Both incidents, occurring around 9 pm, involved attackers escaping on motorcycles. Police spokesperson Fred Enanga highlighted the striking similarities in the attacks, emphasizing the shared use of the pistol.
